More than half of the people living without a home in Vancouver are facing mental health challenges.

It’s more than poverty or unemployment that stand in the way of people lifting themselves out of these overwhelming situations. For many, the barriers created by mental illness, substance abuse and trauma can feel insurmountable.

At the Kettle we break down these barriers by offering immediate, practical help like food, showers and clothing alongside advocacy, counseling and other trauma-informed services. We also collaborate with mental health professionals to deliver the services that people urgently need.
