The Kettle Society supports people with mental illness to lead healthier lives.
We do this by:
* Providing housing, employment, advocacy and support services;
* Raising awareness of mental health issues and breaking down the stigma and barriers for people with mental illness, and
* Promoting inclusion of people living with mental illness in all aspects of society.
Thanks to Henry Huang, staff and customers from Shoppers Drug Mart, Main Street who raised $1,835 for The Kettle’s Camille House for Women through their “Tree of Life” campaign.
Thanks to John at HY Louie who helped out with turkeys for our December 25th Holiday Lunch!
The kids and teachers at Laura Secord Elementary collected warm clothes and snacks for individuals living homeless during the holidays.
News and Events
The Winter dinner & dance was a great success. We served a full turkey dinner for hundreds of Kettle members & their families, helping make a cold January night a little warmer. Even Santa made an appearance with toys for the kids. Thanks to Bell, Whitecaps FC, Vancity and Councillor Andrea Reimer for volunteering. The dinner was made possible by private donations - thank you!
Another successful art show!!
Thank you to all those who stopped by to visit and to West Coast Reduction, Boffo Properties, Take Five Café, Vancity, the Vancouver Courier and the Eastside Culture Crawl for their support.
