As we head into the holiday season, you might be wondering how your business can make a big impact. Here are some ways you and your employees can make a meaningful impact for vulnerable people living with mental illness, substance use, poverty and/or homelessness.

Financial Partnerships

Areas of greatest need:

Skills Esteem Employment Development (SEED): Support an individual living with mental illness gain practical skills and confidence to transition from unemployment to meaningful paid supported employment.

$2,500 can provide an individual with 6 months worth of meaningful employment and training.

Mental Health Advocacy: The Kettle's Mental Health Advocacy program is mandated to assist our members by addressing both individual needs and systemic issues that affect people with mental health disabilities. Advocacy staff help people resolve issues by providing information, advice, support, representation and community referrals.

$1,000 can provide 10 individuals with advocacy services - from referrals to full representation.

Community Engagement

Inspire your employees, vendors or customers to be creative and give back by hosting your own fundraiser for The Kettle Society and match their donations. Our online tools and resource kit will help translate your ideas into reality.

Gifts in Kind

Host a holiday drive and collect basic need items like socks, winter hats and hygiene supplies for The Kettle's Homeless Outreach Program. Connect with our team to learn about current needs.

Most Needed items:

  • Hygiene supplies: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste

  • Men's clothing: socks, jackets, warm pants and sweaters, size 10+ shoes
